MHMS Jazz Band is an extracurricular music group that plays in the style of a jazz big band. We use saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and a rhythm section with piano, bass, guitar, and drumset. However. . . if you play flute, oboe, clarinet, french horn, baritone, or tuba, and are interested in Jazz Band, we can arrange music for you to play in the group.
All instruments are welcome in MHMS Jazz Band!
Jazz Band meets every Wednesday morning at 7:00AM, and performs for Taste of Jazz, Applied Arts Night, the Middle School Jazz Festival, and the Middle School Awards Night every year. We perform music in several music genres, from swing and blues to latin and funk, rock, and pop! 
If you are interested in participating in Jazz Band, please see one of our band teachers. There is also a Jazz Band class that happens during summer band lessons for any interested 7th or 8th grade student to come and try it out for fun. See our summer lesson schedule for more information!
